MaxLab: Hands-on science for (school) pupils and visitors

The MaxLab is the hands-on laboratory of the Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence and the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry at the Life Science Campus Martinsried.

The MaxLab provides courses for students and visitors of different ages. School classes are able to choose from a number of different courses treating different scientific topics, all related to the current research at the institutes. Visitors are able to explore the fascination of life science through their own experiments, gain practical lab experience and get an insight into the work of a modern research lab.

A number of other courses, such as a summer science week or courses for younger students supplement the regular courses. In addition, the MaxLab provides class material treating current research topics for teachers to download, as well as virtual school classes.
