Main Focus

Basically, I am interested in behavioural ecology. During my PhD, I investigated what factors influence Daurian redstarts’, a common host of the common cuckoo, response towards the parasitic egg. More recently, besides cuckoo-host interactions, I have been interested in ruffs, the most polymorphic bird species in the world. Specially, by extensive observations and manipulations, I aim to understand why they possess so much plumage variation and how they maintain the genetic diversity.
