Want to know how administration works in a research environment?

Then come and spend up to two weeks getting a behind-the-scenes look at administrative roles within an international research institute.

We are looking for motivated high school students in grades 9 and 10 who are interested in learning about the world of modern administration up close — not just from dry textbooks, but up-close and hands-on.

What you can expect:

  • Human resources: How do new employees join us? What makes a good job interview?
  • Purchasing: How do you order equipment, materials, and services for a large research institute?
  • Finance: How do you keep track of budgets, invoices, and figures?

You will gain insights into all three areas, shadow experienced colleagues, and – depending on the task at hand – have the chance to take on your own small roles.

Requirements:

  • You attend a secondary school, high school, or business school
  • You are curious, reliable, and enjoy working in a team
  • You want to find out whether a career in administration could be something for you

What we offer:

  • An exciting environment on the intersection of science and administration
  • Insights into modern administrative processes
  • A friendly team that supports you and is always happy to answer questions

Sounds exciting? Then apply for an internship with us at bewerbung@bi.mpg.de! We look forward to getting to know you!
